Every spring and summer we meet compassionate individuals who want to help the community’s cat population, but who are understandably uncertain. This is the time of year when any female cats who aren’t yet sterilized will be giving birth, and it’s common to come upon a litter of kittens who have been born outdoors.
What’s the best thing to do when you encounter kittens? It depends! Since there are so many factors, we’ve created a flowchart to guide you in determining the best way to be helpful to vulnerable kittens. Save this chart and share to help direct others to the best resources available at the Richmond SPCA.
