We are excited to announce that our amazing adoption counselors found loving homes 57 pets this week! Our goal is to find homes for 84 orphaned animals this week. You can help spread the word about our available pets and lifesaving work by "liking" and sharing our social media posts on Facebook and tumblr. Butters found a loving home after visting our friends at 8News - WRIC. Lando, a 7-year-old domestic short hair mix, was the oldest feline adopted.

Bert and Ernie found a home together after becoming a hit on our Facebook page. At four months old, Hope, Trinity, Serenity and Wisdom were the youngest canines adopted.

Adoption eventsAn adoption counselor and volunteer will be at the Health Fair at Carriage Hill Apartments on Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a pet available for adoption! We will be promoting Seniors for Seniors, an ongoing adoption program. Click here to learn more.
Our mobile adoption vehicle, the Tail Wag’N, will be at the Farmers Market at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church for Dog Day at the Market on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Come out and let our adoption counselors help you meet your perfect match! Additional information can be found here.
Offsite adoptions
In addition to having many wonderful cats at our humane center, we also have several felines at two PETCO locations in the Richmond area - Short Pump and Carytown. We also have cats available for adoption at the Children's Museum of Richmond - Chesterfield. Adoption specialsYou still have time to take advantage of our Adopt a Shelter Cat month adoption promotion! The adoption fee for all adult cats — that's felines 6 months and older — is reduced by 50 percent until the end of June! It's perfect time to come in and adopt your new best friend!
