In the past week, 56 pets have found new homes through our adoption center. In exceeding our goal of 50 adoptions, we have found loving homes for 21 cats and 35 dogs who are bringing joy to their new best friends!
Our goal this week is 53 adoptions! Help save lives by visiting our Robins-Starr Humane Center to adopt or by being an ambassador for adoption and spreading the word to friends and family about the wonderful pets here in need of permanent homes.
Adoption specials: This is no April Fool's Joke! We have three great specials available all month long.
April is "Adopt a Senior Cat Month"! All cats ages 5 years and older are available for the reduced adoption fee of $60 until the end of the month.
Every Tuesday in April is "Two for Tuesday." Adopt any pair of pets for a single, low adoption fee.
Every Thursday in April is "30 Percent Thursday." Adoption fees are discounted by 30 percent.
Off-site adoption events: This Sunday, April 8, our Tail Wag'N adoption vehicle will be at Monument Avenue Easter on Parade from noon to 5 p.m. Stop by to visit us at the corner of Monument Avenue and Meadow Street. Please note that our adoption center will be closed for the Easter Holiday.

Do you see the name Carly on that list? She is now fondly referred to as "Brooks" in the Gammon household! After thirteen years with our Brio, we did not think our hearts could accept another. Brio was adopted from the Richmond SPCA's old shelter and was the love of our lives. The Richmond SPCA knew how we felt and helped us heal. Brooks is incredible and after a week we cannot imagine our lives without her! We know our Brio is happy that we opened up our hearts and home to another homeless animal like she once was. Yesterday we visited the Clinic for Compassionate Care for Brooks' first official appt. Dr. Ivey is so fantastic. Her years of experience make her the perfect vet to answer all the questions and concerns I had about Brooks. She was able to estimate her age, and offered information about Brooks based on her extensive background at the Richmond SPCA. I was glad to have the option of reduced costs but would choose this great clinic regardless! Thanks Richmond SPCA!
