We had an amazing week in our adoption center with 58 adoptions! We are happy to report that 36 dogs and 22 cats were adopted. To see updates about our alumni in their new homes, check out our Facebook and tumblr pages for news and pictures!
Here are the dogs who found loving homes this past week:

Donna, Steve, David, Brandon and Kelly were an adorable litter of puppies who all found homes within hours of becoming available for adoption. Not a single puppy had to spend a night alone – they all went from one family to the next! Truman, a blind English Setter mix, was adopted after visiting 96.5 KLR and NBC 12. Several of the small dogs adopted last week came all the way from Pasadena, California to find homes! Chuny, a Chihuahua mix from Pasadena, was adopted after visiting Lite 98.
Here are the cats who found loving homes this past week:
From top left to bottom right: (pets not pictured are italicized) Aeros, Argyle, Arthur, Brett, Cleo, Gina, Holly, Ike, Jerry, Jinx, Katie, Mango, Melanie, Michael, Mitzi, Penelope, Petey, Sammy, Sarah, Sue, Tabitha, Valentino
Ike was transferred into the care of the Richmond SPCA almost one year ago. He grew up here in our humane center making many feline and human friends in our catillions. He also lived at CMoR Chesterfield for a while in their Clinic for Compassionate Care exhibit and became a staff favorite there as well. Last week, he finally found a permanent family to call his own! Gina was adopted after being featured on NBC12 News at Noon.

Jerry has been renamed Edison and has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is very curious and playful and loves his feather toys! He's been exploring his new home and loves to tell me about his day when I get home from work. The adoption process was very easy. We were able to spend some time with Edison to find out how he reacted in different spaces and how he related to us. Thanks Richmond SPCA for a fantastic experience!

Emilie has been renamed Abby. She has been coming out of her shell and we are seeing lots more tail wagging :-) She is playing with her two new four-legged brothers who, despite her shy demeanor, defer to her as the princess she is becoming! Thank you Richmond SPCA for making our family complete!
