The first week of September has been a busy one here at our Robins-Starr Humane Center! 76 pets, that's 23 dogs and 53 cats, met, fell in love and have gone home with their permanent families. Our goal for the coming week is to find homes for 89 pets.
If you've recently visited the Richmond SPCA website, you may have noticed that we have changed our adoptable dog and cat pages. On these pages, you can view personalized, up-to-date information for each available dog and cat. They also contain photos and personality types of every animal, so you can easily find and Meet Your Match. Our knowledgable and dedicated adoption staff at the center is waiting to unite you with a new canine or feline family member today!
Off-site adoption:
This Saturday, Sept. 15, our Tail Wag'N will be at the Short Pump PetSmart for the Petsmart National Adoption Weekend. We'll be there from 1-4 p.m., so come out and meet a new canine or feline friend! For more details on the event, click here.
Also on Saturday, some of our adoptable dogs will participate in the History Hounds walking tour. From 10 a.m. to noon, bring your dog and enjoy a walking tour of the historic Fan area. This event is presented by the Valentine Richmond History Center. For more on this event, click here.
On Sunday Sept. 16, our Tail Wag'N will be at the new Carytown location of Petco from noon-4 p.m.
Adoption Special:
Throughout September, we are continuing our “Two’s Company” adoption special. For the entire month of September, you can adopt any two cats or kittens for a single adoption fee of $95. We hope you take advantage of this special because everything is better with a buddy!
