Following the holiday weekend, we are late bringing you this report that 71 pets were placed in loving homes last week. That's 28 dogs and 43 cats who spent Labor Day in a home of their own. Our ambitious goal for this week is to find homes for 100 pets.
Finding homes for pets is our number one objective here at the Robins-Starr Humane Center. We strive to do everything and anything possible to help the orphaned dogs and cats in our care find the right match. You can help us as we work toward our goal this week by sharing the story of your own Richmond SPCA alumni or chosing a pet from our website to share and promote through social networking. Off-site adoption:
We have some fabulous felines greeting shoppers at two Petco locations in the Richmond area- Short Pump and Staples Mill. While recent adoptee, Nataliya, found love in a Petco shopper in Short Pump, other cats are waiting for their happy endings. Adoption Specials:
On Labor Day and every day, the staff of the Richmond SPCA are all “Working Hard to Find Them All Homes." Through Friday, Sept. 7, we have reduced dog adoption fees by 15 percent. Come find your new canine friend today!
Throughout September, we continue our “Two’s Company” adoption special. For the entire month of September, you can adopt any two cats or kittens for a single adoption fee of $95. We hope you take advantage of this special because two is always better than one!
