Although we were well below last week's adoption goal, we can proudly report that 61 pets – 19 dogs and 42 cats – found loving homes! To us, every life is precious, so it's a wonderful feeling to know that 61 animals have found families who will adore them. Our adoption goal for this week is to find homes for 103 pets.
Two notable adoptions this week were David, a 10-year-old beagle and Jaclyn, a special needs tortoiseshell cat. Both of these pets had sponsors, who graciously paid their adoption fees in hopes that they would quickly find permanent homes. Thanks in part to the generosity shown by these individuals, David and Jaclyn found loving families. Sponsoring an animal is a great way to help pets at the Robins-Starr Humane Center find permanent homes. If you'd like to sponsor a pet at our center, you may make a donation of the $95 adopion fee and let us know which pet's adoption fee you wish to pay. If you call 804-521-1308, Susan Nelson on our development team will be happy to help you.
