A week with 84 adoptions is a great victory for each of those pets – 31 dogs and 53 cats – who are starting a this new week with loving families! Our adoption team matches pets with loving homes with the support of an entire team of volunteers and staff that carry out our mission – Every life is precious – in all they do. With your help to share and encourage those in your network to save a homeless pet by adopting, we can meet our goal this week to place 107 pets.

Offsite adoptions:
is Saturday, Sept. 1, our Tail Wag'N will visit James River Cellars for their Seventh Annual Harvest Wine Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to visiting with and adopting pets on board our off-site adoption vehicle, visitors to the winery can look forward to sampling wine from four different wineries, attending wine 101 seminar and tours, visiting with craft vendors and the food vendor. Picnics are welcome! The winery is located at 11008 Washington Highway in Glen Allen.

Two's Company: Through the end of August, you can adopt any two cats or kittens for a single adoption fee of $95. We hope you take advantage of this special before the month comes to a close on Friday. Two is always better than one!
